Technical Data Sheet
Nimonic® Alloy 90 is a precipitation-hardenable nickel-chromium-cobalt alloy reinforced with titanium and aluminum. It delivers exceptional high-temperature strength, excellent stress-rupture resistance, and outstanding creep resistance up to 920°C. Thanks to these properties, Nimonic 90 is widely used in critical applications such as turbine blades, exhaust reheaters, discs, hot-working tools, and high-temperature springs.
Recommended Heat Treatments
Nimonic 90 Bar
Solution Treatment: 1080°C (1975°F) for 8 hours, followed by air cooling or oil/water quenching.
Precipitation Heat Treatment (BS HR2): 700°C (1290°F) for 16 hours, followed by air cooling.
Nimonic 90 Sheet
Solution Treatment: 1100–1150°C for 1–10 minutes, followed by air cooling or oil/water quenching.
Stabilization Heat Treatment: 925°C for 1 hour, followed by air cooling.
Precipitation Heat Treatment: 750°C for 4 hours, followed by air cooling.
